{"id":229685,"date":"2016-07-10T13:41:59","date_gmt":"2016-07-10T13:41:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=229685"},"modified":"2016-07-10T13:41:59","modified_gmt":"2016-07-10T13:41:59","slug":"well-provide-more-protection-for-local-businesses-udp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/07\/well-provide-more-protection-for-local-businesses-udp\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;ll provide more protection for local businesses \u2013 UDP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The United Democratic Party (UDP) has promised to take strong measures to provide more protection for local businesses if given the mandate to govern by voters.<\/p>\n<p>The Founder of the party, Dr. Yaw Kummey, \u00a0said growing the private sector would be made a major priority on its development agenda.<\/p>\n<p>He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that the party had a firm conviction that this was the way forward to create wealth and jobs for the people.<\/p>\n<p>He said the government of the UDP would work hard and with zeal to turn the economy around and lift the people out of poverty.<\/p>\n<p>It would do this by assembling \u201cprofessionals and the best brains\u201d to find workable and enduring solutions to the development challenges faced by the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kummey, himself an accomplished entrepreneur, who chairs the \u201cYkummey International Group of Companies\u201d, said his party would perform to the expectation of people.<\/p>\n<p>It would not make any election promise, it was convinced it could not deliver.<\/p>\n<p>The UDP would not resort to lies and deception to get the electorate to vote it into power, he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kummey called for Ghanaians to trust the party with their votes, adding that, they would not regret the decision of choosing it over the other political parties.<\/p>\n<p>He said the UDP had all that it took to take Ghana to the \u201cpromised land\u201d \u2013 to make the country a better place for everybody.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United Democratic Party (UDP) has promised to take strong measures to provide more protection for local businesses if given the mandate to govern by voters.
