The Director of Communications for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has publicly accused the party’s presidential hopeful and immediate past Chairperson, Samia Nkrumah, of scheming and creating disorder and confusion in the party.

Kadril Abdul Rauf claims that, since losing the race for the party’s flagbearer position to Ivor Greenstreet, the former Member of Parliament for Jomoro, has been inciting the party’s youth to cause confusion in the party.

Abdul Rauf was reacting to demands by some party youth on Monday, that their leaders, Ernesto Yeboah, and General Secretary Nii Armah Akronfah be reinstated immediately.

The two were suspended for contradicting Ivor Greenstreet’s comment on President Mahama’s $100,000 Ford expedition ‘gift’.

[contextly_sidebar id=”X8lPZxkhxqdFd1IweOgjLSLcFd8AfP6Z”]The CPP announced the suspension of the two men last week.

Abdul Rauf told Citi News that Samia Nkrumah is behind the agitations over the suspensions.

“Samia is actually an idol in that circle. Ernesto, the youth organizer does not live in his own house, he lives in the house of Samia Nkrumah and all of them, that is where they gather and hold their meetings. I’m proving to you that she is part of that platform and every discussion that is happening, it is happening under her eyes and she is aware of it.”

Abdul Rauf said his allegations were based on Samia’s reaction after she was defeated, adding that “she made that baseless accusation that Ivor Greenstreet has been sponsored by the NDC.”

“Now this argument that they are making has not departed from that assertion she made some months ago. That is what they are seeking to fuel. I also know Samia and I know that if she didn’t approve it, she will be the first person to speak in the media or dissociate herself from it. But the fact that she is quiet, it will be difficult for her to be exonerated from this,” he argued.

Meanwhile, all efforts to get Samia Nkrumah to respond to the claims proved futile.
