were arrested<\/a><\/strong><\/span> after the police seized 200 pieces of AK 47 ammunition, two AK 47 riffles and two locally made shotguns from their homes at\u00a0Potor near Kintampo, in the Brong Ahafo Region.<\/p>\n[contextly_sidebar id=”sGrjfcGUtGKnHn029TUs3wUFavQPZNuJ”]The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Christopher Tawiah, confirmed to Citi News<\/strong> that, \u201cthe three have been remanded by a magistrate court\u201d.<\/p>\n“When the three were sent to court, the court remanded them into police custody to assist in investigations and also to reappear before the court on 8th July 2016\u201d.<\/p>\n
ASP Tawiah indicated that, the police had no doubt the three were working together to stir up the decade-long chieftaincy-related dispute in Potor, which led to the death of one person in May.<\/p>\n
Police in the area have since intensified patrols in Potor to avert any possible clashes.<\/p>\n
