There is currently heavy security presence at the Supreme Court ahead of today’s ruling on voters who used the National Health Scheme cards as form of identification for registration.<\/p>\n

According to Citi News<\/strong>\u2019 Fred Djabanor, the heavily armed police officers numbering about 40 have been stationed around the court.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”JzKmrPMFyAcLG2IqlmLBdmKPDKCEFeIQ”]He added that person\u2019s accessing the Chief Justice\u2019s court where the case is being heard are made to undergo intense security checks.<\/p>\n

The security measures follow threats made by some radio panelists on the lives of Supreme Court and High court judges in the country.<\/p>\n

The two, Alistair Nelson, along with another panelist, Godwin Ako Gunn, allegedly threatened to \u201cfinish\u201d the Supreme Court and High Court judges if they made any judgment against the Electoral Commission in the ongoing court case challenging the validity or otherwise of the voters\u2019 register.<\/p>\n

The two have been widely rebuked<\/strong><\/a><\/span> over the comments and have subsequently been cited for contempt of court.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile some judges say they are scared<\/strong><\/a><\/span> by the threat but government has assured to deal with persons making such threats<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n
