The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region, has downplayed opposition parties call on President John Dramani Mahama to within one-week reduce what they have termed ‘killer’ electricity tariffs.<\/p>\n
The main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), the People’s National Convention (PNC), the All Peoples Congress (APC), and others, at a joint\u00a0news conference<\/strong><\/a><\/span> admonished President Mahama to reduce electricity tariffs or incur their wrath.<\/p>\n Their Spokesperson, who doubles as the NPP’s Northern Regional Communication Director, Mohammed Abdul Kudus, described the electricity tariff hikes as a mark of insensitivity to small scale industry players in the region, hence their demand for a reduction.<\/p>\n
