{"id":226650,"date":"2016-06-29T17:54:45","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T17:54:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=226650"},"modified":"2016-06-29T17:54:45","modified_gmt":"2016-06-29T17:54:45","slug":"epp-library-association-donate-books-to-5-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/06\/epp-library-association-donate-books-to-5-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"EPP, Library Association donate books to 5 schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EPP Books Services, in collaboration with the Ghana Library Association have donated text books worth GHc11,000 to five schools in the country.<\/p>\n<p>They include the LA-Nkwantanang Cluster of Schools, Madina, Presby Model School, Amamoma, Catholic Basic School, Okyeso,\u00a0Police Barracks Primary School and SDA Main, both in Tamale in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-226490 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/epp-book-donation-5.jpg\" alt=\"epp book donation (5)\" width=\"768\" height=\"434\" \/><\/p>\n<p>EPP Books Services said the move forms part of its \u2018Stock your library\u2019 campaign which seeks to provide books worth GHc5 million to some schools in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0after presenting book vouchers to the schools, General Manager of EPP Book, Millicent Brookman-Amissah hinted that, \u201cthe invitation is still open and interested schools may contact the Ghana Library Association to access the package.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year marks our 25<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary and as part of our 25 years of existence, we want to give back to society. That has made us what we are today,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-226489 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/epp-book-donation-4.jpg\" alt=\"epp book donation (4)\" width=\"768\" height=\"530\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to her, notwithstanding, this initiative aims at \u201chelping children attain high levels in education which reading plays a key role.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are passionate to see the children develop to world standards,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-226488 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/epp-book-donation-3.jpg\" alt=\"epp book donation (3)\" width=\"768\" height=\"557\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For her part, President of the Ghana Library Association, Professor Perpetual Dadzie, added that her outfit would continue to equip the reading clubs in various schools with all they need to flourish academically.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTeachers were trained to man the reading clubs and the handling of books.
