Amoah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Akuapem South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Osei Bonsu Amoah, has said it will be suicidal for Ghanaians if the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) wins this year\u2019s general election for another four-year term.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the Ghanaian economy has witnessed sharp decline over the last eight years under the Mills-Mahama administration, resulting in unbearable hardships in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Osei Bonsu Amoah, popularly known as O. B. Amoah, explained that the consequence of such a moribund administration is the \u201chardship that we are all experiencing now and retaining NDC in power will be disastrous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-163889\" src=\"http:\/\/election.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_20160623_170536.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20160623_170536\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Inaugurating the Presbyterian Women\u2019s College of Education Wing of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the NPP in Aburi on Thursday, the lawmaker said it is only the NPP that can save Ghanaians from the current economic hardships.<\/p>\n<p>He urged members of TESCON to go out and campaign from \u201croom to room\u201d, \u201cmarket to market\u201d to bring the party\u2019s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to power in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need every vote and we know with your involvement, there will be change in this country. You have heard all the good things that the NPP is doing to bring Ghana back on track. Yours is to go and spread the good news that change is coming in a very positive way,\u201d he told the students.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-225811 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_20160623_170711-1200x660-1024x563.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20160623_170711-1200x660\" width=\"696\" height=\"383\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Akuapem South MP added: \u201cAfter eight long years of suffering, messing us up, he (President Mahama) is now telling us that we should vote for him again. We are saying that thank you NDC. It&#8217;s time for us to bid them goodbye and let\u2019s save our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also entreated the students to campaign for NPP parliamentary candidates for the party to obtain majority seats in the legislature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTell your friends who are not here that when they vote for Nana Akufo-Addo, they should also vote for the NPP parliamentary candidates. No skirt and blouse voting in the elections. Nana Akufo-Addo needs majority of MPs in Parliament to help him run Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you vote for Nana and you don\u2019t vote for his parliamentary candidate and he brings good policies to Parliament, the NDC will block it. They will vote against it and then all the work that you have done for Nana will be in vain,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-163891\" src=\"http:\/\/election.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_20160623_170512.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20160623_170512\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" \/><\/p>\n<p>O. B. Amoah slammed President John Dramani Mahama for reneging on his promise to put money in people\u2019s packets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen President John Mahama was campaigning in 2008, at every rally, he will ask the people \u2013 put your hands in your pockets and bring them out \u2013 did you find money in your pockets- then they will say no.
