Tyson Fury’s rematch with Wladimir Klitschko has been postponed.<\/p>\n
The world heavyweight\u00a0champion was due to take on Klitschko\u00a0at the Manchester Arena on July 9.<\/p>\n
But Fury, who won their first meeting in\u00a0Dusseldorf last November by unanimous decision, has suffered an injury in training.<\/p>\n
The Briton announced the news on Instagram on Friday afternoon, revealing he had\u00a0hurt his ankle while running in the Lake District.<\/p>\n
“The fight will be being postponed – sorry to all my fans, to let you all down, but injuries do happen,” he said.<\/p>\n
“About 10 days ago I was running in the Lake District and went over on my ankle, spraining my ankle.<\/p>\n
“I’ve been to the hospital and had X-rays, MRI scans and all that stuff. They’ve said it’s not broken but it’s badly sprained and to keep off it for six to seven weeks.<\/p>\n
“I’ve had a second opinion a week later and had the same advice so the fight will be postponed.”<\/p>\n
