{"id":223778,"date":"2016-06-20T15:21:56","date_gmt":"2016-06-20T15:21:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=223778"},"modified":"2016-06-20T15:21:56","modified_gmt":"2016-06-20T15:21:56","slug":"nduom-azumah-nelson-anas-honored-at-emy-awards-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/06\/nduom-azumah-nelson-anas-honored-at-emy-awards-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Nduom, Azumah Nelson, Anas honored at EMY awards [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Exclusive Men\u2019s Magazine ushered in this year\u2019s Fathers\u2019 Day with the maiden Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Awards, held at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Business consultant and politician, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, was honored as the Ultimate Man of the Year, the EMY Awards&#8217; marquee honour.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_223795\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-223795\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-223795 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_7306.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7306\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-223795\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Anas was honoured with the Citizen Ghana Award<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The CEO of Groupe Nduom, won the flagship award in the male division at the awards scheme, instituted to \u00a0inspire greatness\u00a0to celebrate men who have excelled in their fields of endeavor.<\/p>\n<p>The President of Groupe Nduom, was nominated alongside Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Chairman of the HODA Group of companies, Osei Kwame Despite, CEO of Despite Group Of Companies; and Togbe Afede XIV, Asogli State Council President\/SAS Group Of Companies.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_223788\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-223788\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-223788 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_7186.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7186\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-223788\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Azumah Nelson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dr. Kwabena Duffuor himself was also a big winner on the night, picking up the Man of the Year; Governance, at the awards dinner gala.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being a night for the men, women were also acknowledged with Dr. Beatrice Wiafe of the Breast Care International beating off competition from Gifty Afenyi Dadzie of Women Aglow International, Dr. Joyce Aryee of Salt &amp; Light Ministries and Mrs Elizabeth Joyce Villas of Camelot Ghana Ltd, to win the Ultimate Woman of the Year award.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-223794\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_7267.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7267\" width=\"600\" height=\"388\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, was named the Sportsman of Year ahead of Andre Ayew, Yaw Sakyi Afari (promoter of basketball in Ghana), Albert Frimpong (Baseball pioneer in Ghana), boxer Richard Commey and Premier League winner, Jeffrey Schlupp.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_223906\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-223906\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-223906 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Asa-1024x683-1.jpg\" alt=\"Asa-1024x683 (1)\" width=\"600\" height=\"420\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-223906\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Samuel Anim Addo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Gyan, who wasn\u2019t there in person, provided one of the highlights of the night by having his representative, CEO of the Asamoah Gyan Foundation; Samuel Anim Addo, slam &#8220;irresponsible journalists&#8221; amidst allegations that he was funding the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to topple the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n<p>The awards ceremony was organised by Exclusive Men\u2019s Magazine, Carbon AV and Mediaspace Cyber Media, aims<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-223796\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_7314.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7314\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the brains behind the event, the Editor-in Chief of the Exclusive Men\u2019s Magazine, Clement Owusu-Kwakye, spoke to the staying power and significance of this awards scheme In interview with <strong>citifmonline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, the event as we saw, was to celebrate fathers, to celebrate achievers, especially the men, who are doing great things and contributing to the development. It was a well-attended programme and we thank God for that and we are looking forward to 2017.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery Mother\u2019s day we make a lot of noise about this award. Father\u2019s day we don\u2019t.
