Groupe Ideal has presented some food items, toiletries and cash to the National Chief \u00a0Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, on behalf of\u00a0 the Muslim communities in Ghana, as they fast in the month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
The items, worth over GH\u20b520,000, include bags of rice, milk, sugar, cooking oil, crates of mineral water and fruit juices.<\/p>\n
Presenting the items at the office of the National Chief Imam in Accra, the Deputy Groupe Chief Executive officer of Groupe Ideal , Mr. Charles Arkuh, said \u00a0the donation is to extend love to the Muslim community as they fast for Allah\u2019s blessings.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know that in the month of Ramadan, our brothers and sisters go through a long period of fast. This is to show them that we support them through the fast so that when it\u2019s over, we can all join them to celebrate Ramadan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He disclosed that the exercise has become a tradition to the company to always donate to the office of the Chief Imam on behalf of the Muslim community.<\/p>\n
Mr. Arkuh stated that, the company is also aware of the importance of the period in the Islamaic religion, hence the need to constantly identify with the period.<\/p>\n
On his part, Dr. Sharubutu, who received the items on behalf of the Muslim community, expressed appreciation for the gesture.<\/p>\n
He said Ramadan is a period that is used by Muslims to extend good tidings to everybody including non-muslims hence the donation is in the right direction.<\/p>\n
Dr. Sharubutu explained that it was in the month of Ramadan when the Holy Quran was sent to Prophet Mohammed, therefore it has been laid aside purely for prayer and fasting for the peace of the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is incumbent on us to pray for peace to continue to prevail in Ghana before, during and after the November polls,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Groupe Ideal currently has nine subsidiaries – Ideal Finance, First Trust Savings and Loans, Ideal Capital Partners, Ideal Trade, WestFields Offshore Consult and Ideal Asset Solutions.<\/p>\n
