The cockpit voice recorder from the EgyptAir plane that crashed last month has been found in the Mediterranean, Egyptian investigators say.<\/p>\n
A vessel with an underwater robot has been searching an area north of the Egyptian coast. Earlier, it found and photographed wreckage in the sea.<\/p>\n
Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo crashed with 66 people on board.<\/p>\n
It is not yet known what caused the plane to go down.<\/p>\n
The plane’s manufacturer, Airbus, previously said that finding the “black box” flight recorders was crucial to finding out what happened when radar lost track of MS804.<\/p>\n
The cockpit voice recorder should allow investigators to hear what the pilot and co-pilot were saying to each other, plus any alarms in the background.<\/p>\n
If the flight data recorder is found, it will show what the plane’s computers were recording at the time.<\/p>\n
