Final year students of Akpene International School at Juapong in the Volta Region, would\u00a0have to wait another year to sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), as a result of the failure of their headmaster to register them.<\/p>\n
This is in spite of the students paying a GHc 150 registration fee.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”JkPXYnldmilnu9mJrxdX9zpoGDFgiGeM”]Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, an affected student indicated that they were provided with index numbers following their payment for registration, but\u00a0when the students got to the center, they could not locate their numbers.<\/p>\n \u201cUp till now, we have not written the paper and now we went to the police station to lodge a complaint with police. We want the police to arrest the man,\u201d the student lamented.<\/p>\n A teacher who helped prepare the students for the BECE, Ernest Vormawor, revealed the matter has already been reported to the police but no action has been taken.<\/p>\n He also noted that some of the students have even been left frustrated by the ordeal.<\/p>\n \u201cThese kids, they were crying and a whole lot of things.
