An entrepreneur building organization within Royalhouse Chapel International (RCI), Always Seek Knowledge (ASK), has awarded GHS 10,000 as seed capital \u00a0to \u201cTeam Initiate\u201d, an Agriculture Startup Company.<\/p>\n
The fund was awarded to \u2018Team Initiative\u2019 for winning the inaugural Entrepreneurship Challenge organized by ASK.<\/p>\n
The award was announced after a two-day Job Fair, that was organized by ASK Network, as part of RCI\u2019s World Movers Generation (WMG) annual Movers & Shakers Conference.<\/p>\n
The programme, which was held at the University of Ghana, brought together over 7,000 Christians.<\/p>\n
The Entrepreneurship Challenge received hundreds of startup applications after which the top 5 made their presentation to a panel of judges.<\/p>\n
The judges included \u00a0Kojo Hastings, Chairman, Genelec Holdings Limited, Rosy Fynn, Marketing Director, Airtel Ghana, Cecilia Dei-Anang, CEO of Imago-Connect Limited; Sophia Antonio, Financial Director, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Albert Kusi, CEO, LEC Foundation and John Apea, Regional Director, Commonwealth Office, Africa.<\/p>\n
Team Initiate, a startup Chilli Pepper Farm Company, emerged as winners of the Entrepreneurship Challenge, after going through two hours of questions from the Judges.<\/p>\n
They were awarded GHS 10,000 as seed capital to support their business idea.<\/p>\n
Second to fifth place finalists were each awarded GHS 2,500 \u00a0as consolation prizes.<\/p>\n
The Apostle General of RCI, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, in his closing remarks, reiterated the need to invest in the younger generation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll over the world, the youth have been seen as vestiges of despair. At Royalhouse, we believe that the youth are pillars of hope and pillars of strength for Ghana, for Africa and the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Similarly, David Doku, Head of PR for ASK Network encouraged participants at the Job Fair to seek for direction and guidance in their career choices.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur organization is empowered and adequately resourced to continue to support young people who desire to excel at whatever ventures they undertake,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
ASK Network is an entrepreneurial organization established with the primary objective of nurturing growth and promoting opportunities, economic independence and professional development amongst the younger generation.<\/p>\n
ASK Network as part of its programmes, holds periodic ASK Talks, Entrepreneurship Challenges, Job Fairs, CV\u00a0 and \u00a0Job Interview Workshops and Networking Functions for young people.<\/p>\n
