{"id":222594,"date":"2016-06-15T12:25:22","date_gmt":"2016-06-15T12:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=222594"},"modified":"2016-06-15T12:25:22","modified_gmt":"2016-06-15T12:25:22","slug":"military-pursues-officer-allegedly-linked-to-isis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/06\/military-pursues-officer-allegedly-linked-to-isis\/","title":{"rendered":"Military pursues officer allegedly linked to ISIS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Citi News<\/strong> sources within the Ghana Military High Command say they\u00a0 are on a manhunt for one of their officers who is suspected to have links with terrorist group ISIS.<\/p>\n<p>The Officer, Bawa Abdul Rahman, vanished into thin air after his commanders invited him for questioning and further investigations.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;JlffkgTQALqKnWxv5vBRtZjPLPFXnrbj&#8221;]According to reports within the Military, Private Bawa Abdul Rahman in dramatic fashion, jumped out of the vehicle which was sending him to his bosses for military inquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Currently,<strong> Citi News<\/strong> understands the Military high command is on his heels before he attempts to leave the jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>26 -year old Bawa Abdul Rahman is 1.7 meters tall. It is unclear yet how long he had been in touch with ISIS or whether he has already been recruited.<\/p>\n<p>The Public Affairs Directorate of the military, has declined to comment on the matter for now.<\/p>\n<p>A few months ago, the national security presented a report to the Education Ministry, warning it about activities of ISIS on the various tertiary institutions, recruiting interested candidates.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and<a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/11\/12\/ghanaian-isis-recruit-greets-facebook-friends-with-joy\/\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong> one other, joined ISIS.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Kojo Agyeman\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Citi News sources within the Ghana Military High Command say they\u00a0 are on a manhunt for one of their officers who is suspected to have links with terrorist group ISIS.
