The 2016 Flagbearer of the \u00a0opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has expressed optimism about the ability of Ghanaians to rise above the challenges of poverty and underdevelopment.<\/p>\n
Nana Addo contends that the resilience of the Ghanaian people coupled with their potentials can be turned into prosperity for all to enjoy.<\/p>\n

Adu-Boahen\u2019s incurable optimism of the potential of Ghana and her people. That above all, is what drove him. Successfully, generating the growth and prosperity of our nation; the transition from poverty to wealth on the basis of free democratic institutions and universal adult suffrage,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Nana Addo, Cameron Duodo eulogize late Prof. Adu-Boahen<\/strong><\/p>\n Nana Addo joined some Ghanaians<\/strong><\/a><\/span> at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Tuesday, to pay tribute to the late Professor Albert Adu-Boahen, who died on May 24, 2006.<\/p>\n Albert Adu-Boahen, a renowned history professor, led the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as its presidential nominee in the 1992 elections.<\/p>\n The 10th anniversary lecture was organised by the Adu-Boahen Foundation in collaboration with some stakeholders and the family of the late academic and politician, who contributed significantly\u00a0to Ghana\u2019s\u00a0development in education and democracy.<\/p>\n 79-year old Veteran journalist, Cameron Duodo, delivered the keynote address acknowledging the role the late Professor, who was his personal friend, played in harnessing Ghana\u2019s democracy.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin A.
