{"id":216424,"date":"2016-05-23T12:33:28","date_gmt":"2016-05-23T12:33:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=216424"},"modified":"2016-05-23T12:33:28","modified_gmt":"2016-05-23T12:33:28","slug":"er-npp-mourns-late-abetifi-mp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/05\/er-npp-mourns-late-abetifi-mp\/","title":{"rendered":"E\/R NPP mourns late Abetifi MP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The opposition New Patriotic Party&#8217;s (NPP) Eastern Regional Secretariat has expressed its condolences to the constituents\u00a0of Abetifi and the family of the MP, Peter Wiafe-Pepera,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/05\/21\/abetifi-mp-peter-wiafe-peprah-dead\/\">following his demise on Saturday.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The MP reportedly died on the afternoon of Saturday, May 21 at the 37 Military Hospital where he was on admission.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;Z64QPi0RUGaq6dDEgRFvAOXpj8LDGNSw&#8221;]His colleague Member of Parliament confirmed his death to\u00a0<strong>citifmonline.com<\/strong> on condition of \u00a0anonymity.<\/p>\n<p>Paying tribute to the late Pepera in a statement, the NPP Eastern Regional Secretariat hailed him as \u201ca leader whose hallmark was unity of purpose for success at all times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was also a great tactician. He endeared himself to everyone and sought to serve Ghana and Abetifi at all times during his years as a leader of his constituency, the region and at the national level,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>The Eastern Regional NPP also assured the people of Abetifi of their support as they prepare for the funeral rites of the MP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to assure the good people of the Abetifi Constituency and Kwahu of our prayers and support in these trying times. According to custom and tradition it is the family that will lead in his burial and funeral rites. PETER WIAFE PEPRAH &#8220;PASSES ON&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We have received with deep regret information about the passing of our Honourable Member of Parliament representing the Abetifi Constituency, Peter Wiafe Peprah. He passed away at the 37 Military Hospital after a short illness.<\/p>\n<p>We have lost one of our most affable party leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Hon Peter Peprah was a leader whose hallmark was one of seeking a unity of purpose for success for all at all times. He was also a great tactician. He endeared himself to everyone and sought to serve Ghana and Abetifi at all times during his years as a leader of his constituency, the region and at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>Hon Peprah rightfully touted himself as the number one supporter of Nana Akufo-Addo for President. To this end he did everything within his capacity over the last two national elections up till his unfortunate passing to seek the victory of Nana Akufo-Addo.<\/p>\n<p>We want to assure the good people of the Abetifi Constituency and Kwahu of our prayers and support in these trying times.
