The ruling National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) serial callers in the Ashanti Region, have decided to put breaks on their defense of President John Dramani Mahama and the achievements of his government on radio and Television until further notice.<\/p>\n
Members of the group who have been operating in the region under the name \u2018Media Monitors Association\u2019, are hoping to meet the leadership of the NDC in the region latest by Wednesday to present their grievances.<\/p>\n
A statement issued by the Chairman of the group, Abdul Latif Abdullahi, also known as Julius Aghahowa and the Secretary, Razak Tanko, believe the leadership of the governing party would\u00a0have time for them to deliberate on how to resolve their problems before their voices are heard on air again.<\/p>\n
Speaking to election.citifmonline.com<\/strong>, Julius Aghahowa declined to give reasons for their action even though information gathered indicates their strike is due to perceived neglect and lack of funds for the group.<\/p>\n He said leadership of the group was in a crunch meeting with the Ashanti regional leadership and that they will make their grievances public if the meeting becomes inconclusive.<\/p>\n Find the full statement below:<\/strong><\/p>\n We the members of above mentioned association wish to inform the general public that effect from Monday 16th May, 2016, we\u2019ll suspend calling and texting massages both Radio and TV programs in support of our dear NDC party and gov\u2019t.<\/p>\n This tough decision was taken on Sunday 15th<\/sup> May, 2016 at the general meeting.<\/p>\n We want state that, until we meet the leadership of the NDC party, the decision will not be changed.
