declared wanted<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0following\u00a0the allegations of assault\u00a0leveled against him.<\/p>\nA\u00a0letter written\u00a0by counsel for the Mr. Amankwaah, revealed that their clients’ intended to pursue an out of court settlement. But the MP in an interview with Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0said\u00a0Chairman Wontumi should not be blamed for his action because he acted based on wrong information.<\/p>\nSpeaking to Citi News<\/strong>, the MP said his decision to forgive Chairman Wontumi was because he\u00a0believed the rift between him and the regional chairman was engineered by his opponent.<\/p>\n\u201cThe issue was orchestrated by my opponent who is also doing everything possible to come into the limelight in the constituency but I think his strategy is an evil one,\u201d Mr. Amankwaah stated.<\/p>\n
The MP further noted that his efforts would now be focused on attaining the NPP\u2019s target of 80 percent of the popular vote in the upcoming general elections in November.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to play my part and by doing that, we will ensure that we present a united front as a party in the constituency. I am not interested in engaging in anything that will thwart our efforts at ensuring our 80 percent target.\u201d<\/p>\n
