The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) has elected the Chief Executive of Innova DDB Ghana, Joel Edmund Nettey as the new President of the association.His mandate is two years.<\/p>\n
Mr Nettey replaces Mrs Norkor Duah, the out-going president.<\/p>\n
Also elected are Mansa Amowuah and Mr Martin Osei as Vice President and Treasurer respectively. 10 other individuals and companies were also elected as members into the Executive Council.<\/p>\n
In his acceptance speech, Mr Nettey pledged the commitment of the newly-elected leaders to ensure that the needs of all interest groups in the association, including media agencies, outdoor companies, production houses, creative agencies and individual members, are met.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we take up this mandate, you are entrusting us with, my Executive, the Council and I, commit to work with you, one and all, as well as our augmented Secretariat, now made up of an Executive Director, an Operations Manager, a dedicated Outdoor Co-ordinator, an Accountant and a Secretary,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He thanked members for the confidence reposed in them to steer the affairs of the company.<\/p>\n
He urged Corporate and Individual Members of the AAG, to share with the Executive and Council,\u00a0 concerns, observations, advice and especially ideas, on how to move the industry forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will call on and count on each of you \u2026 morning, noon and night. There are various committees to serve on,\u00a0 and it is time to see a good blend of experience and new ideas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mr Nettey also urged members to participate in the International Advertising Association Africa Congress being hosted by AAG in Accra this year,\u00a0 dubbed \u201cAfrica Rising \u2013 The New Consumer Generation\u201d from November 12th to 14th.<\/p>\n
The occasion was also used to admit Corporate and Individual Members into the AAG.<\/p>\n
