Citi News<\/strong>, lead counsel for the plaintiffs, Nana Asante Bediatuo, said they will be forced to go back to the Court if the EC proves lackadaisical in implementing the orders.<\/p>\nHe explained that the EC told the Supreme Court that it \u201ccan identify the number of people who used the NHIS card by looking at the form 1As.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo if the court now gives an order that you should go and delete the names of those people and give them an opportunity to re-register that should not be difficult at all,\u201d Asante Bediatuo stated.<\/p>\n
He said the EC as\u00a0a constitutional body must be seen to be honest.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026You say you can find those names, but we would want it to be in a process that can be verified by the plaintiffs because it\u2019s their case and whatever steps they are taking, we would want to know and to ascertain whether those steps vindicate and comply with the court\u2019s orders.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026They may write back to us and say this is what we are going to do and when my clients are satisfied that the steps they are taking will achieve the desired end, then we don\u2019t have a problem otherwise we will enforce the court\u2019s orders,\u201d the lawyer added.<\/p>\n
