The leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, has said the crowd that\u00a0stormed the police c<\/a>ommand<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0requesting\u00a0the release of its Regional \u00a0Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, was not acting under the orders of the party.<\/p>\n The agitated crowd, claiming to be supporters of the NPP, also accused President John Mahama of orchestrating the arrest of Chairman Wontumi, \u00a0a claim the NPP has disassociated itself from.<\/p>\n
