Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo has congratulated his colleague flagbearer of the National Democratic Party, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings for emerging victorious in the party\u2019s conference.<\/p>\n

Nana Konadu was on Saturday declared the flagbearer of the NDP at the Trade Fair centre after she went unopposed in the race.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”hfJi8fzfNnSJ5o6UxzQ9jEITxSil6a6y”]Nana Addo in a statement said Konadu\u2019s experience and repertoire of knowledge in politics will afford her the opportunity to help broaden Ghana\u2019s political discourse.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer wealth of experience in Ghanaian politics should put her in good stead to help steer and shape the nature of our political discourse from one of attrition, personality attacks and negative preoccupations to an issues-based campaign, hinged on the competition of policies and ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is how the public interest of our nation can be best served. The New Patriotic Party and I welcome her into the race for the Presidency and wish her well,\u201d Nana Addo added.<\/p>\n

JJ and daughters storm NDP conference<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former President Jerry John Rawlings and his daughters stormed the conference<\/strong><\/a><\/span> of the NDP party to throw their weight behind Mrs. Rawlings.<\/p>\n

Rawlings\u2019 appearance at the Trade Fair Centre was met with chants and songs from the NDP delegates, who could not contain their joy.<\/p>\n
