{"id":209223,"date":"2016-04-24T18:09:31","date_gmt":"2016-04-24T18:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=209223"},"modified":"2016-04-24T18:09:31","modified_gmt":"2016-04-24T18:09:31","slug":"tidal-waves-displace-homes-in-fuveme-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/04\/tidal-waves-displace-homes-in-fuveme-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Tidal waves displace homes in Fuveme [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tidal waves at Fuveme in the Keta Municipality in the Volta Region have compelled residents to flee from their homes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-209230\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/20160424100523.jpg\" alt=\"20160424100523\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to the people, the tides have destroyed most of their homes, including the only school block in the community.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-209226\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/20160424095916.jpg\" alt=\"20160424095916\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fuveme lies between the sea and the Keta Lagoon in the Keta Municipality in the Volta Region and the members of the community say that they face this problem almost every year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-209213 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/20160424085349.jpg\" alt=\"20160424085349\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Members of the community say that due to the nature of their problem, they have had to seek refuge on a football pitch.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-209227\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/20160424095940.jpg\" alt=\"20160424095940\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pupils and teachers in Fuveme have also had their share of the problem.
