Organisers of the annual and prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) have celebrated 10 years of the awards in the capital city of Bayelsa State, Yenagoa which became the centre of attraction last Saturday as movie personalities stormed the city for this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n
Leila Djansi and Shirley Frimpong-Manso saved Ghana from what could have been a total disgrace by winning an award each at the event, an improvement upon last year\u2019s win.<\/p>\n
Last year, Ghana picked just an award for Best Short Film, Kitiaku Ananse.<\/p>\n
Leila Djansi\u2019s directed movie, Northern Affair, picked Ghana\u2019s first award on the night for Achievement in Production Design while Shirley Frimpong- Manso picked the award for Achievement In Editing for her movie, Potomanto.<\/p>\n
