A more user-friendly look popped up on some users screens Tuesday<\/p>\n
Twitter is testing a totally new design on its website that will actually make it look like rival Facebook.<\/p>\n
An editor at\u00a0Mashable<\/em>\u00a0first\u00a0reported\u00a0a major update to his Twitter profile page Tuesday, which appears to emphasize photo sharing and makes the website look more like other social media platforms. A little while later, a TIME.com editor noticed the same redesign showing up on his account as well.<\/p>\n Twitter declined to comment on the redesign. However, in a\u00a0blog post\u00a0from last September, the company wrote that it is \u201cconstantly\u201d testing changes to its website on select groups of users.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are constantly evolving the product,\u201d Twitter\u2019s VP for engineering said. \u201cSome changes are visible \u2013\u2013 they may help you\u00a0protect your Twitter account\u00a0or make it\u00a0easier to share photos; others are under-the-hood changes that help us suggest relevant content in real time and make Twitter more engaging.\u201d<\/p>\n Twitter recently unveiled a separate new design to all its users, not long after the company\u2019s Feb. 5 earnings call with analysts revealed its user base may be plateauing.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A more user-friendly look popped up on some users screens Tuesday Twitter is testing a totally new design on its website that will actually make it look like rival Facebook.
