{"id":205728,"date":"2016-04-10T16:48:31","date_gmt":"2016-04-10T16:48:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=205728"},"modified":"2016-04-10T16:48:31","modified_gmt":"2016-04-10T16:48:31","slug":"president-mahama-ethiopian-pm-tour-touton-cocoa-processing-company-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/04\/president-mahama-ethiopian-pm-tour-touton-cocoa-processing-company-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"President Mahama &#038; Ethiopian PM  tour Touton Cocoa Processing Company (photos)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President John Dramani Mahama and the visiting Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Haile Mariam Desalegn, have visited and toured the factory of Cocoa Touton Processing Company (CTPC) at the Tema free zone enclave, as part of activities aimed at highlighting Ghana&#8217;s sturdy growth and development in the manufacturing sector of the economy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-205730\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Touton-31-3-1.jpg\" alt=\"Touton-31-3 (1)\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1335\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The visit to CTPC&#8217;s factory is targeted at further deepening \u00a0Ghana-Ethiopia diplomatic ties and consolidates Ghana\u2019s position as the preferred destination for trade and investment on the continent, on account of a stable democracy, respect for the rule of law and an enabling business environment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-205731\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Touton-40.jpg\" alt=\"Touton-40\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1335\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Touton Group is one of the world\u2019s largest traders in cocoa, coffee, vanilla, spices and a variety of natural ingredients, using a network of exporting subsidiaries.<\/p>\n<p>The company crowned its over 40 year trade relations with Ghana, by investing in a multi-million Euro cocoa processing facility in the country last year, joining the list of the very few companies producing cocoa liquor for export.<\/p>\n<p>In Ghana, Cocoa Touton Processing Company currently produces 30 000 tons of processed cocoa and exports to countries in Europe, USA and the Middle East with a turnover of USD 80 000 000.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming the two leaders to the factory&#8217;s premises, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Touton Group, Olivier Lieutard, emphasized the importance of both countries to the operations of the company.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-205732\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Touton-37.jpg\" alt=\"Touton-37\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1335\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBesides trading in Ghana cocoa, Touton has also been trading with Ethiopia in coffee, over the past ten years.
