{"id":203677,"date":"2016-04-02T06:45:07","date_gmt":"2016-04-02T06:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=203677"},"modified":"2016-04-02T06:45:07","modified_gmt":"2016-04-02T06:45:07","slug":"patrons-defy-rain-enjoy-wogbejekereturns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/04\/patrons-defy-rain-enjoy-wogbejekereturns\/","title":{"rendered":"Patrons defy rain to enjoy #WogbejekeReturns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Last night, patrons who trooped to the Legon Amphitheatre to see the Heritage Theatre Series sat through the rain to enjoy production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">About fifteen minutes to the end of the production, it started raining and because the venue is not enclosed it meant people had to leave or suffer the downpour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Initially, some patrons made moves to leave the venue while most decided to stay and enjoy the every moment of the captivating production in the rain.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_26738\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26738\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-26738 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/totalshowbiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Wogbeje.jpg\" alt=\"Wogbeje\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26738\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dancers performing some traditional moves from Tamale to a packed audience at the Legon Amphitheatre<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;WKOfTtO0M7lhqBRMq1oZVDSRmF8LM7Cy&#8221;]In an interesting turn of events, the appearance of Yaa Asantewaa on stage, the appearance of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah on the stage and his subsequent declaration of independence made people forget they were actually getting wet while they enjoyed the production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Those who had left their seats to take cover rushed back to the amphitheatre to enjoy the rest of the production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26690\" src=\"http:\/\/totalshowbiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/12378072_1189446544400644_8156560062172830428_o.jpg\" alt=\"12378072_1189446544400644_8156560062172830428_o\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The cast and crew were given a standing ovation by the audience, which included the Israeli ambassador to Ghana and his family, the legendary Kwaku Sintim Misa and the Director General of the National Development Planning Commission of Ghana, Dr. Nii Moi Thompson.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It was a big night of music, dance and effervescent display of a panoply Ghanaian culture and historical realities.
