The state said their presence in the country had security implications for the nation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The trio until their deportation were in the grips of the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI). They had been granted bail by a court but the BNI detained them over the Easter holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear whether the state plans to continue with the case it initiated in court or not.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;CkbjdXYHLaCx6W1pGk8KDL55uoGfcXiI&#8221;]The three including Major Ahmed Shaik Hazis (rtd), 54; Warrant Officer Denver Dwayhe, 33, and Captain Mlungiseli Jokani, 45 were charged with conspiracy to commit crime and unlawful training.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Nana Addo\u2019s security team Captain (rtd) Edmund Koda and the owner of the EL-Capitano Hotel Captain (rtd) Acquah where the 3 ex-officers lodged were also arrested and have been charged but the state dropped the charges.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Koda was latter re-arrested and kept in BNI custody until Monday when he was released on health grounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;3 ex SA officers studying documents to compromise election results&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Interior Ministry in a statement said one of the three South African ex-Police officers arrested in the country had in his possession, a comprehensive document on the vulnerability of some key workers of Superlock Technologies Limited, the company hired by the Electoral Commission to transmit tallied election results. This was contained in a statement released by the Interior Ministry on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ministry, the dossier on the company and the key staff is to possibly compromise them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA comprehensive report on the operations of Superlock Technologies Limited (STL) and an assessment of some key staff\u2019s vulnerability for possible compromise was retrieved from Hazis\u2019s [One of the ex 3 South African Police officers ] room. STL is the company contracted by the Electoral Commission to transmit tallied election results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHazis denied authoring the document but indicated that it was given to him by Dani Isaaca, an Israeli based in South- Africa. Hazis claimed he had not read the document which had been in his possession for about three (3) weeks.
