{"id":202120,"date":"2016-03-27T16:44:07","date_gmt":"2016-03-27T16:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=202120"},"modified":"2016-03-27T16:44:07","modified_gmt":"2016-03-27T16:44:07","slug":"npp-tarkwa-constituency-chairman-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/03\/npp-tarkwa-constituency-chairman-dead\/","title":{"rendered":"NPP Tarkwa Constituency Chairman dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Samuel Kofi Osei Boamah has died at age 70.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Boamah \u00a0popularly known as Chairman Africana served as constituency chairman from December 2013 till he passed away.<\/p>\n<p>He held the same position from 1997 to 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming his demise to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the second Constituency Vice Chairman of the party , Gilbert Ken Asmah said \u201che was not feeling well yesterday.He complained of neck pains and so he left for the Old Tarkwa Government Hospital all by himself. But around <span data-term=\"goog_779472967\">midnight<\/span>, the neck pain had become a heart issue so around <span data-term=\"goog_779472968\">5am<\/span> when I went to the hospital, the attendant in charge met me and announced his death to me\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Asmah eulogized the late selflessness and hard work saying, \u201ceven though I was the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> vice chairman, he never avoided me in any decision he had to take. It was through his hard work that after serving in the 1990s to bring the NPP to power in 2000, delegates did not hesitate to reelect him in December 2013.
