It has emerged that Head of the private security detail for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Nana Akuffo Addo, Captain (rtd) Edmund Koda, was re-arrested on Thursday by\u00a0the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI), for his alleged role in the invitation of three ex-police officers from South Africa to train the party’s security personnel.<\/p>\n
Captain Koda \u00a0is alleged to have invited the three South Africans who are\u00a0on trial but are\u00a0currently in the custody of the BNI \u00a0for training private security personnel of the NPP Presidential Candidate and his running mate.<\/p>\n

Security operatives allegedly visited Captain Koda\u2019s residence at Weija in Accra last week, to carry out a search.<\/p>\n
The state subsequently dropped the charges against him on Thursday.\u00a0It is thus\u00a0unclear why he was re-arrested after his release.<\/p>\n
Capt.
