The initiators are SC Johnson, a\u00a0global, US-based, company with a long presence in Ghana, and the owners of the Raid Insecticide\u00a0brand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As part of the campaign, SC Johnson has deployed mPedigree\u2019s Goldkeys and Acodion technologies\u00a0on millions of packs of RAID products to enable them reach the millions of Ghanaians who\u00a0patronised the products with malaria prevention tips.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To encourage the educational effort, buyers of these products who text unique codes on scratch\u00a0labels attached to the products also stand the chance to win prizes every month, including luxury\u00a0Hyundai sedan vehicles. Retail agents that promote the dissemination of the information stand to\u00a0win instant airtime valid on all major telecom networks in Ghana.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_200269\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-200269\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-200269\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/mPed_Goldk_Anantahene_Launch_Raid_Campaign_Kumasi_Mar_2016.jpg\" alt=\"The brand new car on display.\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-200269\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The brand new car on display.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The prize distribution and educational content portions of the campaign are managed using\u00a0mPedigree\u2019s award-winning Goldkeys and Acodion platforms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The case for highlighting, and even emphasising, prevention in the country\u2019s anti-malarial efforts is\u00a0backed up by a growing body of evidence. Ghana loses $800 million to malaria every year, a cost\u00a0split evenly between private citizens and the government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This cost does not fully reflect the impact on the relatives and co-workers of the 3.5 million\u00a0Ghanaians who stop contributing to the social, political and economic life of this country for many\u00a0weeks every year because of malaria.
