Parliament has summoned the heads of Ghana’s various security agencies to an emergency meeting following terrorist attacks in neighboring West African countries.<\/p>\n
A statement issued by government on Tuesday, also revealed that there are clear threats to Ghana\u2019s security.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe National Security Council on the basis of briefings by the intelligence agencies and partners has determined that there is a credible terrorists\u2019 threat to all countries in the sub-region,\u201d a statement issued by the Communications Ministry added.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Defense and Interior, Fritz Baffour, said the meeting will enable the House assess the country\u2019s present security status.<\/p>\n \u201cImmediately we got wind of the situation in Ivory Coast, we intensified our efforts to get them to come and give us a briefing. We already put out an invitation and what we have to do is to find out the time that will be suitable for them\u2026. Parliament cannot ensure your security.
