{"id":199110,"date":"2016-03-15T13:00:48","date_gmt":"2016-03-15T13:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=199110"},"modified":"2016-03-15T13:00:48","modified_gmt":"2016-03-15T13:00:48","slug":"were-not-running-any-promotion-airtel-coca-cola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/03\/were-not-running-any-promotion-airtel-coca-cola\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;re not running any promotion \u2013 Airtel, Coca Cola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beverage producing company, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company Ltd (TCCBCL) and telecom operator Airtel Ghana say they are not running any promotion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are messages being circulated to mobile phone users which require recipients to make mobile money transfers to a given number to claim their prizes and rewards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But a joint statement issued by the two companies said the message is a scam adding that \u201cwe are not running any promotion of this nature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOur investigations indicate that this is a scam intended to dupe unsuspecting members of the public by some unscrupulous individuals. We have taken steps to report this matter to the authorities for further investigations,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They further urged the public to disregard such messages or contact Coca Cola on 0302 814844 or Airtel Ghana on short code 222.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAll promotions run by both companies are duly communicated to the general public through official company channels and through the media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin A.
