{"id":196764,"date":"2016-03-07T11:20:40","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T11:20:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=196764"},"modified":"2016-03-07T11:20:40","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T11:20:40","slug":"discovering-ghana-citi-fms-heritage-caravan-sets-off-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/03\/discovering-ghana-citi-fms-heritage-caravan-sets-off-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovering Ghana; Citi FM&#8217;s Heritage Caravan sets off [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">About 70 Ghanaians today [Monday]\u00a0set off\u00a0for a 7-day trip that will give them a\u00a0rare opportunity to\u00a0experience Ghana amidst amusement\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Citi FM<\/strong>\u2019s Heritage Caravan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Heritage Caravan, the first of its kind, forms part of the station\u2019s Heritage Month initiative, held annually in Ghana&#8217;s birth month, March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-196755\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Caravan-4.jpg\" alt=\"Caravan 4\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1066\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A convoy of buses left\u00a0Accra this morning [Monday] \u00a0to some of the most interesting parts of Ghana which are deeply rooted in history and culture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-196757\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Caravan-6.jpg\" alt=\"Caravan 6\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1066\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The caravan will travel through eight out of Ghana\u2019s ten regions within one week (from the 7th to the 13th March, 2016).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tourist destinations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-196756\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Caravan-5.jpg\" alt=\"Caravan 5\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The caravan will make a stopover at the Adaklu Mountains in the Volta region, which is arguably the tallest free-standing mountain in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sightseers will also have the unique opportunity to visit Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary is Ghana\u2019s most famous example of traditional African conservation. The sanctuary is nestled in between the two villages of Boabeng and Fiema; and is home to over 200 Geoffrey\u2019s Pied Columbus and 500 Campbell\u2019s Mona Monkeys. You will be thrilled to know that funerals are held for monkeys in Boabeng and Fiema.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You may have heard stories about the beautiful Nzulenzu village in the Western Region but never visited the place.
