Minister of Education, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, has condemned the wanton establishment of educational institutions without regard to regulation and procedure.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”xVCYNCZSAQKmtrndnVYEQlVf9JgpLxFu”]Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0on some\u00a0developments in the education sector, Prof Naana Opoku Agyeman said the establishment of all learning institutions must be guided and regulated to ensure proper coordination and efficiency.<\/p>\n Although her ministry has the mandate to assist in achieving this objective, she somewhat suggested\u00a0that there are no guidelines or policies that properly regulate the establishment of schools in\u00a0the country.<\/p>\n “The schools keep springing up so the question I think we should all be posing is; what are the guidelines for establishing a school in this country? Do we have them, do we not have them?\u201d<\/p>\n She noted instances where some schools are established without water or toilet facilities asking, “How, for example, does anybody set up a school and there is no water, there is not toilet.
