Telecom operator, Tigo Ghana has launched a new tagline dubbed \u201cLive it Love it\u201d to reflect its new digital lifestyle agenda in the country.<\/p>\n

Tigo seeks to boost the level of internet penetration in Ghana under its digital agenda.<\/p>\n

The company recently built an\u00a0ultra-modern Data Centre to house its network infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The facility also has adequate room to host and store data for other companies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new tagline Live it. Love it isn\u2019t just advertising slogan \u2013 it\u2019s a new approach and a new direction for us. The tagline reflects our ambition to improve internet penetration in the country, and to make the internet, and all the amazing features it comes with, a way of life for Ghanaians,\u201d the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tigo, Ms Roshi Motman said at a colourful event to launch the slogan last week.<\/p>\n

According to the CEO, the company has been able to keep pace with all digital technology changes over the past 24 years since its inception in Ghana in 1992 under the brand, Mobitel.<\/p>\n

She said since 2014, the company had embarked on a remarkable transformational agenda to become the brand of choice for digital users in Ghana.<\/p>\n

The Tigo CEO added that, in achieving such success, the company did \u201ca complete overhaul of its business model, focusing on building a business with a long term strategy and some quick wins.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be able to get where we are today, we had to invest millions of cedis in building a stable and reliable network. Our network availability has improved from 88 to 99 percent within 1 year,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Ms Motman explained that they have completely changed their product portfolios and introduced new products \u201cfor today\u2019s digital savvy customer and have sanitised and simplified all our products and services.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said \u201ctoday our brand is loved by many. We look and feel different from what we used to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u00a0noted that\u00a0Tigo also gained the attention all industry players and Ghanaians because \u201cwe have become smarter in the way we do business, and are attractive to top professionals, investors, partners, suppliers and most importantly to customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Ghana\u2019s first mobile network operator, we remain committed to staying on the cutting edge of technology, bringing firsts that empower every Ghanaian to do more with digital technology. It\u2019s something we call the digital lifestyle agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Minister of Communications, Ato Sarpong commended Tigo for helping to improve the telcom sector of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the Ministry of Communications, we are excited at what Tigo is doing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
