The Ghana Police has announced the closure of some roads in the national capital, Accra on Sunday, to allow for a smooth commemoration of Ghana’s\u00a059th<\/sup> Independence Day Parade which will be held at the Black Star Square.<\/p>\n The roads include the 28th February Road from CEPS Headquarters to Castle junction, Osu Cemetery Traffic Light on the Lokko Street and the Castle Road from AU Circle to Osu Cemetery Traffic Light.<\/p>\n A statement signed by Superintendent Cephas Arthur, Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service said \u201conly vehicles with assigned stickers and those carrying spectators to the Black Star Square will be allowed to pass through Police check points.\u201d<\/p>\n The Independence Day parade\u00a0which is observed\u00a0on March 6th<\/sup> every year, is used to celebrate\u00a0the day Ghana gained independence from its colonial masters.<\/p>\n The Police statement further directed road users to take note of the following road diversions:<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin A.
