Former President John Kufuor has said, the death of the late Paul Victor Obeng is shocking and unexpected.<\/p>\n
He noted that \u201cthere wasn\u2019t any suggestion at all that he wasn\u2019t well but that is the mystery of the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ex-President in a media interview described the senior advisor to the President as \u201ca naturally intelligent person, quite sociable.\u201d<\/p>\n
He revealed that although he did not agree with Mr. Obeng\u2019s kind of politics, \u201cthat didn\u2019t stop the two of us from relating in civility. We related quite well but it\u2019s shocking.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIn party politics, you agree to disagree. That is the way to do it in a healthy way,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
President John Mahama\u2019s senior advisor, PV Obeng died on Saturday from a suspected asthma attack.<\/p>\n
He was rushed to the LEKMA hospital but he died shortly after.<\/p>\n
Aside being the senior presidential advisor, Mr. Obeng chaired the National Development Planning Commission.<\/p>\n
His remains have been deposited at the 37 Military Hospital.<\/p>\n
The President and his wife, Lordina Mahama have both signed the book of condolence opened for the late National Democratic Congress (NDC) stalwart<\/p>\n
