Contemporary highlife singer and performer, Akwasi Opoku aka Kwaisey Pee, is set to tie the knot this year.<\/p>\n

The musician, who recently dropped a new single \u2018Osugyani\u2018[Bachelor] in an interview with a Kumasi-based radio station hinted he\u2019s preparing to head to the altar in holy matrimony.<\/p>\n

Explaining the idea behind the new single \u2018Osugyani\u2019 which means bachelor or spinster, Kwaisey Pee revealed his own checks suggested there were so many single individuals including himself around, hence the need to record something they could all relate to.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realized there are too many single guys and ladies out there so it\u2019s something for them for 2016. I want to hear a lot of wedding bells. Even myself, I am the first candidate. Hopefully I should get married this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Does he mean it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, Kwaisey Pee says \u201chopefully\u201d.<\/p>\n

Born into a family noted for music, Kwaisey\u2019s passion does not come as a surprise.
\nWith legendary Agyeiku as father, Kwaisey Pee grew up with another Highlife great Rex Omar as a first cousin and Criss Waddle as a younger brother.<\/p>\n

His life revolved round playing with various bands like Jewel\u2019s Ackah\u2019s Butterfly Six and Nana Tuffour\u2019s Sikadwa Band, playing at gigs in different parts of the country.<\/p>\n

Kwaisey Pee broke into main stream music with his 2006 hit single Mehia Odo.<\/p>\n
