It include the supply and installation of a total of 600 street lamps to the municipality.<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the total cost of the two phases was GH\u00a2216,000. He added that while the phase one was financed through the Urban Development Grant (UDG), the second phase was through internally generated funds (IGF).<\/p>\n<p>The third phase, being the final stage of the project, will be tackled very soon and will also be financed through the IGF.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview, Mr Boadi disclosed that a new industrial site was being established at Baakoyeden, a suburb of Obuasi, where all the artisans in the municipality would be relocated to ease congestion.<\/p>\n<p>He said for the artisans to have access to facilities to enable them to take off smoothly, Thursday, February 27, 2014 had been set aside for the opening of tender documents for the extension of electricity to the site, and construction of 5N0.1.2 pipe culverts, all of 2N0 box culverts and a four-kilometre internal road, which would be financed through the UDG.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he said a tender for the construction of a new circuit court building at Nyamebekyere, also a suburb of the municipality, financed under UDG, would also be opened on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The MCE disclosed that drawings were being prepared for a new transport terminal at Kumka, a suburb of the municipality, which would also be financed through UDG.<\/p>\n<p>He said a new health centre under construction at Kumka was also being sponsored by the District Development Fund (DDF).<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the OMA, under the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) system, had secured an investor to upgrade the Horsey Park to a modern transport terminal that would have a clinic, fire station, office block, bank, \u00a0filling station, police post and chain of stores.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Boadi also announced that the OMA was going to construct a new divisional police complex at Gausu, also a suburb, to move the police from their rented premise.<\/p>\n<p>He said designs for the complex building were being undertaken.
