{"id":190288,"date":"2016-02-16T11:42:16","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T11:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=190288"},"modified":"2016-02-16T11:42:16","modified_gmt":"2016-02-16T11:42:16","slug":"jb-danquah-killer-charged-with-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/02\/jb-danquah-killer-charged-with-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"JB Danquah &#8216;killer&#8217; charged with murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The teenager who allegedly killed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, has been officially charged with murder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The suspect, whose name has been given as Daniel Asiedu, was\u00a0charged\u00a0on Tuesday when he made his first court appearance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According the charge sheet cited by <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the 19-year-old suspect was charged based on his own confession that he committed the gruesome act.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0Police averred that the suspect &#8220;intentionally&#8221; and &#8220;unlawfully&#8221; caused the death of the MP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-190292 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/jb-danquah-killer-1.jpg\" alt=\"jb danquah killer (1)\" width=\"669\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The charge sheet said: \u201cFor that you on 9<sup>th<\/sup> February, 2016 at about 1:00am at Shiashie, East Legon in the Greater Accra Magisterial District and within the jurisdiction of this court, did intentionally and unlawfully cause the death of Hon. Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu, MP for Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The investigator, Inspector Augustus Nkrumah, also indicated that Daniel Asiedu has confessed to committing the crime and added that, \u201che went there to steal but in the process the deceased woke up and held him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat the deceased struggled with him so he pulled out his knife and stabbed him several times and he became weak and fell down.
