Residents of Nsawam and its surrounding areas stand the risk of contracting Cholera and other communicable diseases because of lack of access to potable drinking water.<\/p>\n

The residents are being forced to drink from a contaminated tributary of the Densu River or use polluted water from other sources.<\/p>\n

This follows the acute water shortage that has hit the area for more than a month.<\/p>\n

Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Pearl Akanya Ofori has visited Nsawam and reports that academic activities in some schools there are also being disrupted as a result of the water shortage.<\/p>\n
