An African finance minister who was named “Finance Minister of the Year” by a London banking magazine has been threatened with jail for trying to trim the perks of his country’s politicians.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Amara Konneh’s efforts to rebuild the economy of war-torn Liberia won him the award two years ago from the influential Banker magazine, which is published by the Financial Times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
