The British citizen, Arthur Simpson-Kent, who has been detained in Ghana for allegedly killing\u00a0his girlfriend and two kids will be extradited to face trial in the UK this evening.<\/p>\n

Sources have told\u00a0Citi News\u00a0<\/strong>that Simpson-Kent will be accompanied by a team of British Police officers to the UK.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”3QOiY4csdGsBZJ4AhvkooiWnQjx0Wxfp”]He\u00a0was arrested at Busua near Takoradi in the Western Region, after he reportedly fled to Ghana after for killing\u00a0his girlfriend Sian Blake, and their two children under bizarre circumstances.<\/p>\n

He is alleged to have buried the bodies of his family in a shallow grave in a\u00a0garden behind their apartment at Erith in London.<\/p>\n

The family of Sian Blake had\u00a0\u201caccused him of domestic violence\u201d few\u00a0weeks before the killings.<\/p>\n

His extradition process was ongoing steadily until he told his lawyer to request a voluntary repatriation to the UK.<\/p>\n

January 9, 2016:\u00a0<\/strong>Arthur Simpson-Kent was arrested<\/a><\/strong><\/span> at his hideout\u00a0at Busua near Takoradi in the Western Region.\u00a0This was after a joint Ghana, Interpol and British Police team laid ambush for him.<\/p>\n

January 10, 2016:\u00a0<\/strong>The Government of Ghana confirmed the arrest<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of Arthur Simpson-Kent.<\/p>\n

January 11, 2016:<\/strong>\u00a0Ghana Police said they were awaiting a formal request from UK authorities to begin processes to to extradite<\/a><\/strong><\/span> the murder suspect. He was later\u00a0transferred<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).<\/p>\n

January 12, 2016:<\/strong>\u00a0An Accra Magistrate court remanded<\/a><\/strong><\/span> into Police custody the British national Arthur Simpson-Kent.<\/p>\n

January 26, 2016:<\/strong>\u00a0Officials of the United Kingdom submitted the necessary documents<\/a><\/strong><\/span> needed for the extradition of British fugitive Arthur Simpson-Kent.<\/p>\n
