<\/p>\nThe Electoral Commission has presented provisional certificate of registration to the All People\u2019s Congress(APC), the new party founded by the 2012\u00a0presidential candidate of the People\u2019s National Convention’s (PNC), Hassan Ayariga.<\/p>\n
Dr. Ayariga broke away\u00a0from the PNC after he lost the party\u2019s flagbearership contest to Dr. Edward Mahama.<\/p>\n
According to him, he was unfairly treated during the congress, although he provide no concrete proof to back his claims.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Speaking to the media shortly after receiving his provisional certificate, Hassan Ayariga called on Ghanaian youth who have become disillusioned with the traditional parties to turn to the APC.<\/p>\n
He said the APC is a political party opened to all sorts of people, especially those \u201cwho are tired of voting.\u201d<\/p>\n

“It is not that Ghana has failed because some bad people are leading us. Ghana has failed because the good ones are quiet and that is why we are suffering. And this time around, we are telling the good ones, wherever you are, come on board. If you are tired of voting, come on board, lets change the wind of change. Lets make sure everybody gets a platform and the opportunity to serve mother Ghana,” he said.<\/p>\n

“When people begin to believe that there is no more hope, they are losing confidence in the system, then we need a change. And this is what we need in this country.”<\/p>\n
The APC has thirty working days to be issued with a final certificate to be able to operate as a fully fledged political party.<\/p>\n

Ayariga assured the APC will work within the time-frame to receive the final certificate.<\/p>\n
A Deputy Commissioner of the EC, Rebecca Kabukie Adjalo, who presented the provisional certificate to Dr. Ayariga called on the APC to strictly abide by the laws of the political party\u2019s act.<\/p>\n
