From August this year, the infamous Lavender Hill, which has been a dump site\u00a0for\u00a0untreated human excreta into the sea, will be completely closed down according to President John Mahama.<\/p>\n

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) \u00a0has over years attempted\u00a0to stop the\u00a0Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) from dumping untreated human excreta into the Korle Lagoon at Lavender Hill, a section of the Korle Gonno community.<\/p>\n
Lavender Hill was the name given to the area due to the pungent smell that emanates from there.<\/p>\n
