{"id":186779,"date":"2016-02-03T14:52:13","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T14:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=186779"},"modified":"2016-02-03T14:52:13","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T14:52:13","slug":"bunkpurugu-conflict-affected-students-to-get-special-classes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/02\/bunkpurugu-conflict-affected-students-to-get-special-classes\/","title":{"rendered":"Bunkpurugu conflict: Affected students to get &#8216;special classes&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ghana Education Service (GES), says special arrangements are being made for students\u00a0who have lost vital class hours due to\u00a0the\u00a0recent conflict in Bunkprugu in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Residents of the conflict-ridden town\u00a0say they are living in fear\u00a0following renewed clashes between the Jamong and Jafog rival clans, which started on Wednesday, January 17.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;8NSNAgDbfVTOjqx7GjmipfbbDnGCWbTC&#8221;]The clashes have resulted in vulnerable sections of society, especially children and women, fleeing into neighboring Togo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All Educational institutions were also closed down. But in an interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer of GES, Rev Jonathan Bettey, announced special classes will be organised for the affected students\u00a0to catch up on academic work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Rev Bettey, the teachers must also comply with the assist\u00a0the affected students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe sat down with senior house masters and all the headmasters concerned that should anything like this happen, they must go the extra mile in the teaching and learning. They must organise extra classes in order to cover up for the time lost.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rev Bettey said the extra classes will not come at any cost to the\u00a0students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe extra classes that we are talking about does not come with any cost.
