<\/p>\nThe police administration has confirmed that 35 houses were destroyed during the renewed chieftaincy clashes in Bunkprugu Township between the Jamong and Jafog Bimoba clans.<\/p>\n
Three persons died whilst an unknown number of people have fled the area into neighboring Togo.<\/p>\n
Women and children have over the years suffered the consequences of the dictatorship of the Jamong and Jafog Bimoba clans, who have fiercely been fighting over the Bimoba traditional area paramountcy.<\/p>\n

The unending sporadic conflict in the area\u00a0has adversely affected socio-economic activities there.<\/p>\n
The root cause of the conflict according to the Paramount Chief of the Bimoba Traditional Area, Alhaji Abuba Naasimong, is chieftaincy-related.<\/p>\n
