Citi News<\/strong> checks in some\u00a0parts of the national capital, Accra, indicates that\u00a0the price of sachet water is yet to go up despite an\u00a0announcement that a 10 pesewa increase would come into effect from Monday, February 1, 2016.<\/p>\n The President of the Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers, Magnus Nunoo, announced the increment<\/a><\/span><\/strong> last week citing recent 67.2% increase for water as well as\u00a0increases in the prices of petroleum products.<\/p>\n He expressed their disappointment in the\u00a0Public Utilities Regulatory Commission\u2019s (PURC) decision to make producers of sachet water pay GHc50 for a cubic meter of water.<\/p>\n Citi News’<\/strong>\u00a0checks on Monday, February 1, shows that a single sachet water still sells\u00a0at the original price of 20 pesewas.<\/p>\n Citi News<\/strong>` Eugenia Tenkorang was on the streets, and spoke to some vendors.<\/p>\n Listen to the full report below<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
