The board of the Ghana National Gas Company has announced its retirement, effective Thursday, February 4, 2016.<\/p>\n

The board made the resolution at its meeting held on January 13, 2016 \u00a0to retire the non-executive directors of the company.<\/p>\n

The non-executive directors of the company are Dr. Kwesi Botchwey (Board Chairman), Dr. Valarie Esther Sawyerr, Mr. Eric Nathaniel Yankah and Mr. William Patrick Tawiah.<\/p>\n

The Board also accepted the retirement of the Company Secretary, Mr. Agbesi Kwadzo Dzakpasu, effective the same date.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a release signed by the Board Chairman, Dr Kwesi Botchwey.<\/p>\n

The statement expressed appreciation for the support the board received from the government and other stakeholders including the chiefs and people of traditional areas within the project\u2019s catchment area.<\/p>\n

“The board also commends management and staff of the company for their sense of diligence and dedication to duty, without which the company would not have chalked its achievements,” the statement added.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is expected that the incoming board, when appointed, will be given the same level of support that this board experienced from all the stakeholders.\u201d<\/p>\n
